Welcome to Docking Bay Studio.

These Terms of Service explain the conditions under which you may browse our website and purchase products from our store.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

1. About Us

Docking Bay Studio is an independent UK-based design studio offering illustrated merchandise, accessories and homeware.

The business operates as a sole trader under the trading name Docking Bay Studio.

2. Our Products

Our collections feature illustrated designs across a range of products, including calendars, drinkware, textiles and accessories.

Many products are produced on demand through specialist printing and fulfilment partners.

We aim to represent our products accurately through photographs, illustrations, descriptions and dimensions.

Small differences in colour may occur between digital screens and printed products. These differences do not affect your legal rights if goods are faulty or do not match their description.

3. Orders and Payments

All prices are displayed in the applicable storefront currency. Any applicable taxes and delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Payment is processed securely through the payment methods available at checkout.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation.

We may decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including product unavailability, an obvious pricing error or suspected fraudulent activity. Where payment has already been collected for an order we cannot fulfil, we will issue an appropriate refund.

4. Production and Delivery

Many Docking Bay Studio products are created specifically after an order is placed.

Production and delivery times vary depending on the product and destination.

Estimated delivery information and shipping charges are explained in our Shipping & Delivery policy and, where applicable, at checkout.

Orders containing multiple items may arrive in separate packages.

Your statutory rights concerning delivery times, delays and lost goods remain unaffected.

5. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

We want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase.

Standard, non-personalised products are generally eligible for the statutory 14-day cancellation period applicable to UK distance purchases.

Products genuinely made to individual specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from change-of-mind cancellation rights where permitted by law.

Being printed on demand does not, by itself, make a standard product exempt.

Faulty, damaged and incorrectly supplied items remain covered by applicable consumer protection laws.

6. Personalised Products

Where personalisation is offered, customers are responsible for providing accurate spelling, names, numbers and other requested details.

Please review all personalisation information before submitting your order.

If you notice an error, contact us promptly. We will try to accommodate changes where reasonably possible.

This does not affect your rights where we have made an error or supplied goods that do not conform to the contract.

7. Intellectual Property

The original content, branding, website design and creative materials belonging to Docking Bay Studio may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without permission.

Any third-party names, characters, trademarks or other protected material remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Nothing in these terms grants customers rights to reproduce protected artwork or other intellectual property.

8. Website Use

You agree not to use our website for unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purposes.

We may take reasonable measures to protect our website, customers and payment systems against misuse.

We aim to keep product information accurate and the website accessible, although occasional technical interruptions may occur.

9. Privacy and Personal Information

Customer information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

We use Shopify and selected service providers to support payment processing, order fulfilment and the operation of our store.

10. International Orders

International purchases may be subject to additional taxes, customs duties or import requirements, depending on the destination.

Any applicable charges and delivery arrangements will be communicated as required by law.

Customers purchasing from outside the UK retain any mandatory consumer protections applicable in their country.

11. Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer legislation remain unaffected.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our products, business operations or legal requirements.

The updated terms will be published on our website.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights under orders already accepted.

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights applicable to customers in other countries.
